What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit websites. They serve various purposes:
• Remembering your preferences and settings
• Enabling essential platform functionality
• Maintaining your session state
• Collecting anonymous analytics data
• Enhancing overall user experience
Cookies can be session-based (temporary) or persistent (remain until they expire or are deleted). MindLayer uses both types to provide our Web3 AI agent platform services.
Cookie Types We Use
MindLayer employs the following cookie categories:
• **Essential Cookies**: Required for basic platform functionality. These cookies enable core features like wallet connection, authentication, and security. They cannot be disabled.
• **Functionality Cookies**: Enhance your experience by remembering preferences like UI settings, selected agents, and MCP configurations.
• **Analytics Cookies**: Collect anonymous data about how users interact with our platform. This helps us improve our services and user experience.
We specifically avoid advertising cookies and do not use cookies for marketing purposes.
Cookie Duration
Our cookies have varying lifespans depending on their purpose:
• **Session Cookies**: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. Used primarily for maintaining wallet connections and authentication state.
• **Persistent Cookies**: Remain on your device for a specific period:
- Preferences: 30 days
- Analytics: 90 days
- UI Configurations: 14 days
• **Agent Settings**: Persistent cookies for saving your AI agent configurations and MCP preferences last for 60 days.
You can clear all cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Web3 & Cookies
MindLayer's Web3 integration works alongside cookies:
• Wallet connections (Phantom, MetaMask) may store local data separately from cookies
• Certain blockchain interactions don't require cookies to function
• User-authorized signatures remain independent of cookie settings
• Non-custodial wallet data is never stored in cookies
Our Web3 implementation respects your privacy while maintaining necessary functionality. Disabling non-essential cookies won't affect your ability to connect your wallet.
Managing Cookies
You can control how cookies are used on MindLayer:
• **Browser Settings**: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings menu.
• **Cookie Banner**: When you first visit MindLayer, our cookie consent banner lets you choose which non-essential cookies to accept.
• **Preference Center**: You can update your cookie preferences anytime through our settings page.
• **Do Not Track**: We respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser settings.
Note that disabling essential cookies will limit the functionality of our platform, particularly features requiring authentication.
Third-Party Cookies
MindLayer minimizes the use of third-party cookies:
• We use limited third-party analytics cookies to measure platform performance
• Our blockchain integrations may set cookies from respective providers
• External AI model integrations may require their own cookies to function
We only work with trusted partners who maintain high privacy standards. These third parties are contractually obligated to use data solely for providing their specific services to MindLayer.
For details on how these third parties handle cookies, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
